Christopher Hubbard, Founder and Chief Scientist
Christopher is our Founder, inspirational compass and leads product development.
Before founding HUBB, Christopher served in the US ARMY, where he joined USAMRIID. USAMRIID’s biomedical laboratory and vivarium research capabilities are world-renowned and are one of the cornerstones of our national research program within the National Interagency Biodefense. Christopher worked in the pathophysiology division specializing in toxins while performing lung and liver perfusions.
As a motorsports enthusiast and tinkerer, Christopher was frustrated with the poor performance of conventional oil filters as well as their negative environmental impact. This frustration in combination with the experience gained at USAMRIID and the human lung provided the motivation and inspiration to create the HUBB filter. As Christopher says “I wanted to make it better but I also wanted to make our planet better for my kids.”
Scott Killips, CEO
Prior to joining HUBB, Scott helped build several high growth consumer companies as an operator, investor and advisor. He was the founder of Accenture Technology Ventures where he helped grow AKQA, Navitaire and Adaytum. Previously, he was a partner with Booz Allen and worked in new products at Gillette.
Scott views his job as leading and directing the team in order to capitalize on the opportunity created by Christopher. As Scott says “HUBB is a dream product. Any sales and marketing guy longs for the opportunity to market a product that is vastly superior to the competition!”
Scott graduated with a BS from the University of Denver and Cornell with an MBA. He also knows his way around the race track having driven in several professional series.
Steve Revere, Vice President Operations
Steve is seasoned operator building strong end-to-end supply chain and information technology operations for consumer products companies. Most recently, Steve headed up Operations and IT for an office toys e-commerce company. Prior to that, he served as COO for Wild Planet Entertainment.
Steve views his job as the execution arm of HUBB – delivering industry leading products and services to our customers. “Our products, our team, and our drive to succeed are the things that drew me to HUBB and these will ultimately make us successful”.
Steve graduated with a BS from San Francisco State University
Scott Loyola, VP Sales, Auto Service and Consumer Channels
Scott has spent nearly 25 years in various sales, marketing and leadership roles in grocery retail, market research, consumer packaged goods, non-profit corporate alliances, and most recently as a partner in a mobile platform development start-up.
Scott views his role at HUBB as providing an important link between HUBB’s innovative products and consumers who encounter those products in various retail environments. “Education and marketing are key in driving a shift in thinking and consumer behavior in this category. I’m excited to be a part of such an exciting product innovation and launch.”
Scott graduated with a BS from California State University Northridge in Marketing Communications.
Jeff Allen, VP Sales, Vice President Channel Development
Jeff Allen will be responsible for developing strategies for the commercial and municipal fleet channels on a national basis, along with building out the company’s wholesale distribution strategy.
Before joining HUBB, Allen was director of sales and marketing for Patch Rubber Company, a Myers Industries Company. He also has experience as a national accounts manager for Advance Auto Parts, where he managed relationships with national and strategic accounts including Goodyear, CarMax, Meineke, ARI (a Global Fleet Management Services Company) and Jiffy Lube. In addition, as director of fleet sales and national accounts at Williams Innovation, Allen led the commercial launch of TeleSwivel to the construction, telecom, utilities, equipment rental, energy and government fleet markets.
